He passed away March 13, 1998. 1 was his second wife. He died from liver failure .Glen served his country in Vietnam and had two forms of cancer after he came home. Glen became a quadriplegic after first surgery. He loved to work with wood and did several carvings some he was not able to finish. He had all kinds of tools ( if one was good three was better) some times I
Worked with him to finish a project. He loved old movies John Wayne, Gregory Peck. I came home from work one night and Ihe told me he had bought an old jukebox. We both loved that."

"Glen went to Dunwoody in Minneapolis, Minnesota for drafting and technical illustration, worked at 3M for some time but later drove for Allied Van Lines. That was his last job. First cancer at 29 years old."

Thank you Jody for passing along the information on Glen.  I am also glad that you chose to add a brick in his memory at the Veterans Park at Kennedy Lake. Bob Schmeling.

Glen was my best friend and we grew up together always getting into trouble. We had great times in his 57 Chevy cruising the drag in down town Ft Dodge throwing water baloons at our other friends in their cars.I could write a book about the swimming and fishing holes we hung out at. Oh yes the time we skipped school and drove through the small loop by the front door of the high school waving at our classmates. YES we were stupid and were caught by my mother who was parked across the street assuming we would do something stupid and guess what - SHE WAS RIGHT!

Well for those who want to hear more of our adventures I guess you need to wait until the 50th class reunion to pick my brain - WHATS LEFT OF IT!

Miss You Glen

Your friend...

Harvey
