MEMORIAL:

Donald Frank, 56, of Fort Dodge, died unexpectedly at his home February 12, 2007.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2007 at Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Allen Henderson of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Donald A. Frank, the son of George and Viola (Hepperle) Frank, was born on February 20, 1950 in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge High School. On August 13, 1968, Donald was united in marriage to Bonnie Canavan in Webster City. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Donald was employed with Carpet World for 25 years, retiring in 2002.

Donald enjoyed spending time with his family. He played drums with various bands in Fort Dodge, including Dale & the Devonaires, Electric Cowboys and Outriders. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and also enjoyed fishing and playing Texas Hold'em. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years Bonnie Frank; his children, Tanya Schwanz, Lisa Frank, Matt Frank, and Heather (Boe) Lovain, all of Fort Dodge; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his sisters, Sandra Vinson, Sheryl Hanson, both of Fort Dodge, and Georgie Froyd of Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Frank and grandson Landyn Lovain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
