Linda S. George, 75, of Callender, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30th, in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will be in McGuire Bend Cemetery by Lehigh. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, David George Jr. of Arkansas, daughter Nicki Studyvin of Callender, Vicki Chase of Fort Dodge, sons, Shawn (Kelli Ann) George; Kelly (Jennifer) George; and Mark (Hunter) George all of Callender; 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother Merle Faith of Coalville, IA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband David George in 2018, granddaughter Jessica Schmehr, parents Odas and Fern (Howard) Faith, twin brother Tom Faith, sisters Charlotte Dally and Donna Leiss, father and mother-in-law Cecil and Ethel George, brothers-in-law Richard George, Arlo Leiss, and Marvin Dally.

Linda Sue Faith was born on May 17, 1949, in Fort Dodge, IA, where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1968 and then Cosmetology School in 1969. On March 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to David George. The couple lived in Coalville until they made their home in Callender in 1986. Linda worked as a beautician for over 55 years. She also worked at the Boston Center and the Warden Plaza. Linda was working at Friendship Haven before retiring in 2024. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, garage sales, fishing, going to the races and trips to the casino. Linda loved her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her.
