MEMORIAL:

Bruce Martin Friesth, 65, of Badger passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Memorial service will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Badger Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Meier officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday prior to the service at Badger Lutheran Church. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post #1856 and the Iowa Army National Guard. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Bruce Martin Friesth was born on December 26, 1949 in Fort Dodge to Bert and Ruth (Knutson) Friesth. He entered the United States Army on May 28, 1969 and received his honorable discharge on December 7, 1970. Bruce was united in marriage to Tammy Clapper and has lived in Badger all of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Tammy; his four children, Chad Friesth, Ryan (Niki) Friesth, Bret Friesth and Waylon Clapper; six grandchildren, Caitlynn Friesth, Ashly Friesth, Emily Friesth, Adison Friesth, Avery Friesth and Deagan Friesth. He is also survived by his brother, Paul (Deb) Friesth; a sister, Darlene (Larry) Bloomquist; brother-in-law, John Masdea and sister-in-law, Deann Friesth along with numerous extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Ruth; his brothers, Roger and Rodney Friesth and his sister, Bonnie Masdea.
