Kay C. Kruger, 66, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Simpson Health Center.
Cremation rites will be accorded at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will greet friends from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A reception will follow at Otho Community Center, 220 Rake St., in Otho, beginning approximately at 2:00 p.m. Kay is survived by her husband Roger; her children, Hollie, Jennifer, Michael, Michelle and Michael; her grandchildren, Emma, Madison, Brittny, D.J., Brooke, Morgan, Aerielle, Brooke, Lacey, Marissa, Kassandra, Tanner and Tyler; her mother Marge Herrington; and her sisters, Nancy, Cathy, Debbie, Sheri, Marsha and Paula. She was preceded in death by her father Herold. Kay Christine Herrington, the daughter of Herold and Marge (Smith) Herrington, was born August 23, 1950, in an Army hospital in Denver, Colorado. She came to Iowa in 1952. She enjoyed raising rabbits for over 40 years and her show rabbits have been shipped all over the United States. She also enjoyed making wedding and anniversary cakes for many years. Kay was well known by many people at the Fort Dodge flea market that she attended for 20 years. |
